Planking logs for woodwork

Thought i'd do a little behind the scenes on some of the projects I'm  working on for Lost In Oak. 

I work as a forester for a number of large estates throughout Northumberland, this is where I'm able to source the material for woodworking. Here I'm working on planking up beech logs and Hazel logs; these logs will be used for multiple pieces such as live edge rustic shelving, chopping boards & outdoor furniture. 

It's no easy task as I don't currently have a milling attachment for my saw, but it certainly is honing my skills to try and cut as straight as possible, which errrr, works most of the time...
